Four people have been taken to a local hospital this morning after a multi-car accident on I-70.
The accident happened at about 7:25 a.m. on the interstate near Peoria Street, said Lt. Phil Champagne, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.
The injuries suffered are not life-threatening, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
The three-vehicle accident, in the westbound lanes, backed up traffic in the area with lines of slow-moving vehicles extending east past I-225, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
